Otto Schatz - Sound

Otto Schatz is an artist/noise maker from Brooklyn, New York and is currently located in Bennington, Vermont for college. He has a fascination and pull to the dark and ominous sides of sound and of every day terrors (both real life and fantasy), delving into the deep end of Dark Ambient and Drone music but has interests and influences including Doom Metal, Noise, Techno, and Industrial.

Otto Schatz has made the soundscapes for UFO’s are just Transporting Statues of Artemis and Hekate’s Witches are Little Green Women.

Natalie Bates - Dance

Natalie is a current student at Bennington College studying Politics and Art History with a concentration on activist art and queer political policies in the United States. Originally from Colorado, she has spent most of her life in New Jersey but will avoid the question "where are you from" at all costs. She enjoys participating in Sophie's pieces because of the opportunity to address through dance topics both of them are interested in and talk about in their free time.

Kari Ostenson - Dance

Kari Ostensen is a mover and creator at Bennington College where she studies the intersectionality of dance and language. She is primarily interested in the rules of language and how they can translate into dance or how dance can break those systemic rules. Most of her dancing appears in the form of collaborative projects with other students at Bennington and/or videos on Youtube.

Abbey Starling - Dance

Abbey Starling proudly hails from Seattle Washington where she spent 14 years training in classical ballet in addition to other varieties of dance. She is currently a Senior at Bennington College where she continues her dance training with a focus in choreography. In her time at Bennington she has choreographed six pieces and performed in seven others by peers and faculty. At Bennington Abbey began studying lighting design; since sophomore year she has designed lights for over 10 dance pieces and two plays. This is Abbey's second time working and performing with Sophie Nevin.

Karlyn Ellis - Dance

Karlyn currently attends Bennington College where they study dance. They are an active social activist in Vermont. Their work with Das Biest Performance Project includes Bed Knobs & Broom Sticks and last year’s Graveyards are Disco Clubs for the Dead.

Lou Brownlee - Dance

Lou Brownlee was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She began dancing at a young age with City in Motion, a Kansas City based studio and performance group. Her interest in dance led her to study modern technique at the University of Iowa before transferring to Bennington College. She is currently a second term sophomore at Bennington College pursuing studies in dance, specifically choreography and partnering work.

Nora Littell - Dance


Nora Littell is an artist and scientist studying dance and ecology at Bennington College in southern Vermont. She grew up exploring the woods and creeks of her hometown in upstate NY, and sees ecology and nature education as intimately related to her dance and art practices. She has been in several dance works during her time at Bennington and has presented two of her own solo pieces.

Symone Sanz - Dance

Symone holds a BFA in dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Chamaign, from which she earned the Moving Forward Grant in 2020. She is an experienced artist in performance, improvisation and choreography and is interested in dance through the lenses of anthropology and geology. She has previously enjoyed working with artists Jennifer Monson, James Vu AnhAnh Pham, and Lauren Langlois and many more.

She spent several months in Perth, Western Australia dancing at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She was the recipient of the Friends of the Academy Grant from WAAPA, which allowed her the opportunity to second with Sydney Dance Company in 2019. Her work, including her most recent dance film, a photo of a flood, was selected for the Illini Film Festival. Symone also enjoys directing, editing, and photographing dance in her spare time.
